A few days later, it was time to see what all the fizzing was about: Jumbleberry Freezer Surprise wine was definitely working--and smelling--great.

Float like a boat!
When we last left my batch of fruit wine I had just checked the specific gravity and pitched the yeast. It was gently hissing (the sound of CO2 bubbles forcing their way up through the cap of tightly packed fruit on top of the sugary liquid). I opened it up to have a look, and give the fruit a stir to keep it moist.
