Tim Patterson was told by a very wise graduate school advisor to write about his vices. As a result Tim has ended up focusing his freelance writing career over the last three decades on wine and spirits from his Berkeley, California home. He frequently writes about wine varietals as a Contributing Writer for WineMaker. He has also collaborated on a book about the history of a winery in the Livermore Valley in California. He is an active home winemaker, specializing in aromatic whites such as Gewürztraminer and Viognier.
